FIgure out your budget

Computers now a days can vary incredibly in price. You can find a budget PC for about $600 but this will probably not have a dedicated GPU, limiting you to playing only games like Minecraft and Roblox, and they can cost up towards $5000 dollars if you want a top of the line computer with all the greatest and latest.

02

what about used parts?

You may be wondering if you can save a little bit of money on used parts and the reality is that you can but be aware the warranty might be expired, in the case of graphics cards, some people use them to mine bitcoin and they run these cards 24/7 so their lifetime are shortened greatly. All electronics degrade over time so if you want a computer that will last you I suggest buying new parts.

WHere do i start?

Resarch. A good way to start learning about PC building is to watch videos on YouTube channels like Linus Tech Tips, Gamers Nexus, JayzTwoCents or Hardware Unboxed.  You may go for the best parts for the money or simply for the best looking ones, its up to you!

Where to go

A good place to look for computer parts to compare prices are places like Amazon, Newegg, or Best Buy. The advantage of Best Buy is that some items can be in stock in your local store, making it quicker plus you have the safety of mind the products were not thrown all over a shipping truck, instead of being neatly arranged in a pallet.  One website I recommend to pick out parts and keep an arranged list is PCPartPicker.com
